Postcard of the Oaks Home for Consumptives in Denver, Colorado. "Oaks home for Consumptives, Denver is equipped with sanitariums that are unsurpassed the world over. Some of the most noted in the country are located here on account of the exceptional climate and pure atmosphere so conducive to good health. Thousands of people on the verge of death are brought to Colorado from all over the world and are restored to health in a reasonably short time. Denver the city of opportunities, ask the chamber of commerce."

Description

A used postcard of the Oaks home for Consumptives in Denver, Colorado. Written on back, left side, "10/23/12, Dear Pearl, I judge from your card to Joe that you think I owe you a letter. If so, you are 'missestaken.' It is your turn to write. 'All here is lovely and the goose hangs high.' The Carnival was great. Lovingly Ruth." Written on back, right side, "Miss Pearl Montague, Adams, Jeff, Co., New York." Postmarked on October 24, 1912. One cent stamp of Benjamin Franklin on back, upper right corner.
