Abstract
Postcard of the Lawson General Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. "Lawson General Hospital, located twelve miles east of Atlanta, Georgia, is named for Thomas Lawson who was the Surgeon General of the United States Army from 1836 to 1861. In connection with the hospital, there is a large Medical Department Technicians' School on which enlisted men are trained as technicians in X-Ray, Surgical, Medical, Dental and Laboratory procedures."

A used postcard of the Lawson General Hospital located in Atlanta, Georgia. The image is of the hospital exchange. Written on the back left side, "4/23/44, Dear Joyous, Hope my R.R. has reached you. Down home for 2 wks. of orientation. Most amazing hospital. Grand trip. Lower -- on the --. 2 other kids B.S.O.T. kids here. Glad to get back to W. Va, tho. It's grand. Love, Pammers." Written on the back, right side, "Miss Joyce Thompson, 55 Bromfield St. Wollaston, Mass." One cent postage stamp of George Washington on the back, right side. Postmarked on April, 24, 1944.
