Description
A used postcard of the Kankakee State Hospital located in Kankakee, Illinois. Written on the back, left side, "542 East 4th Street, Momence, Ill., Dear Mother: I am finally getting my crock of the Federal Service Entrance Examination which will open up White Sands Proving Grounds, New Mexico to me. Also still a chance of an Arkansas job I haven't gone crazy yet, but card selection wasn't very good. Harry." Written on the back, right side, "Mrs. H. Heioller, Frank Gassel Vienna IX, Austria." Two three cent postage stamps of the Statue of Liberty on the back, upper right corner. Postmarked on October 13, 1956.
