dc.description.abstractNASA has generated a list of thirty-three gaps in medical capability that need to be addressed in order to extend the current model of medical care used in spaceflight in low-earth orbit to a model of medical care that will be conducive to exploration space missions. The intent of this project was to identify organizations that are doing research and development or have established products that will fulfill the closure criteria of these gaps, enabling NASA researchers to focus on those remaining gaps for which no product exists. The research conducted for this capstone identified existing capabilities relevant to the majority of the gaps within the Exploration Medical Capability (ExMC) portion of the HRP integrated research plan presented in NASA HRP-47065 Rev B.
