The full description of this image is printed on the back of the image as follows: SMEAT GETS UNDERWAY--A high-angle view in the Life Systems Laboratory, Building 7, at the Manned Spacecraft Center, Showing the three SMEAT crewmen about to enter the 20-foot altitude chamber to begin the Skylab Medical Experiment Altitude TEst. The three astronauts are Robert L. Crippen, Commander; Karol J. Bobko, pilot; and William E. Thornton, science pilot. SMEAT, which could last up to 56 days, will obtain medical data and evaluate medical experiment equipment for Skylab. Skylab is scheduled for flight in 1973.en_US
