Abstract

Postcard of the New Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. "The new County Hospital is situated on the site of the old Administration Building on W. Harrison Street. This structure stands for the last word in hospital construction and is one of the finest municipal institutions of its kind in the country. Erected at a cost of $3,000,000."

Description

A used postcard of the New Cook County Hospital located in Chicago, Illinois. Written on the back, left side, "Dear Mrs. Krure we are having a fine visit and enjoying every minute. Edna is well happy and busy. Have been to the big city two days, and tomorrow will visit schools. as ever Mrs Hunter," and "The weather is lovely," is written upside down at the top. Written on the back, right side, "Mrs. J.R. Krure, Lincoln Nebr. 426 North 31 St." One cent postage stamp of George Washington on the back, upper right corner. Postmarked on October 6, 1914.
