I couldn't write to you before because I didn't have your address. I am staying in a swell hotel and we'll be here for about 2 months getting my basic training. I will tell you about the temperature because you must know all about it. Now I have got to go on guard duty. This is my first night of it. Write soon. Your friend, Bob."
